- Bodh Raj is a vindictive boy and took pleasure in hurting others he was so callous that even snake bite had no effect on him. His mother called him "rakshasa".
- He would catch a wasp with his bare fingers, pull out its string, tie a thread round it and fly it like a kite.
- As the narrator's father got a promotion they moved to a old bungalow on the outskirts of the city...and the narrator's friends came to visit his rarely.
- Mom, I am feeling so lonely my friends are not visiting me since we moved so can I invite Bodh Raj?
- No, but if your friend is so found of destroying nests , tell him to clean our store room without hurting the killing the birds. He can remove the nests without harming them.
- Bodh Raj instructed the narrator to aim at the kite using his catapult and to continuously hit it. While the kite was distracted, Bodh Raj brought a table under the mynah's nest and gently lifted it. He slowly stepped down and told the narrator that they should get out. So, they ran into a garage.
- When Bodh Raj lifted his Catapult the third time a large shadow flitted across the room, the mynah chiks began to flutter their wings and shearing loudly. It was a Kite.
- Come on Bodh Raj! lets go it will hurt you..,. I am dcared.
- Do what I say we can safely take the mynahh birds from the kite. and we can keep them in a safe place their parents will be finding them.
- Bodh Raj instructed the narrator to aim at the kite using his catapult and to continuously hit it. While the kite was distracted, Bodh Raj brought a table under the mynah's nest and gently lifted it. He slowly stepped down and told the narrator that they should get out. So, they ran into a garage.
- Here are some water for the chiks they must be thirsty.
- Well Bodh Raj is this you you have just " Turned into a new leaf".
- His personality had a very significant change because at the start, he harmed animals but at the end, he was feeding seeds to the mynah chicks.
- The boy with a catapult turned into a new leaf!
