- Bucks County, Pennsylvania Senior Year of High School, September
- I can't believe we just moved here three years ago and now I'm already leaving to go to away to college!
- I've always known I would go to college-everyone does at my Catholic High School. My family expects me to go. I think I want to be a lawyer. More than anything, I want to get back to Delaware, where we lived before we moved.
- I'll apply to the University of Delaware early decision! I'll definitely get in! All my Delaware friends will go there, I'll love it!
- Three Months Later...
- I didn't get in?! PANIC!
- What if I don't get in anywhere? Everyone else is already starting to be accepted and all I have is this rejection! I have to hurry up and apply to as many schools as possible just in case!
- I'll just apply to a bunch of schools that my guidance counselor says I can get into in locations that aren't too far from home. I'll visit them once I get in.
- April of That Year, Hofstra University
- I can't believe this is the last school for me to visit. I didn't like any of the others, really. This campus seems nice, the tulips are so pretty!
- They have my major and I got a pretty decent scholarship. I'm lucky that my parents will support my undergraduate studies. Long Island doesn't feel too far from home and I'll be able to have a car on campus!
- I don't know anyone that's gone here...but this seems like a nice place? The people in the Admissions Office were so welcoming! If I don't like it, I guess I can transfer. I'm going to buy a hoodie at the gift shop and mail in my deposit!
