  • Plato - Our experiences create a subjective reality. Our perception of the world is unique to our own life experiences.
  • Plato - That may be the case yes, but our previous experiences can act as a filter for incoming sensory data, which can shape our expectations of the world.
  • Aristotle - I get that, but wouldn't the way to understand something be to study the specific examples of it in nature, and gain knowledge from that?
  • Wilhelm Wundt - I am known as the Father of Psychology, because I moved the field in a direction towards laboratory settings, where I studied people head on. Why are you so special?
  • Wilhelm Wundt - My goodness, you have done quite a lot of good to the psychology field!
  • G. Stanley Hall - While you may be known as the Father of Psych, I became the 1st ever president of the American Psychological Association. I founded the 1st journal for research and created the first psych lab in the U.S.

  • Edward Titchener - Well I guess we don't see it quite the same, but that is alright because we are still discovering new parts of psychology.
  • William James - WELL I see the consciousness as a continous flow, almost like a stream. I think looking at the big picture and finding the function is more important.
  • Sigmund Freud - Our unconscious is where our wants and desires are and that is where a human is motivated by sex and aggression!
  • Sigmund Freud - No you are wrong you horrible person!

  • George Engel - That may be the case in some situations, but I believe that if we take multiple views we can understand a person's behavior better.
  • John Watson - I think that behavior needs to be observed, to be able to measure the effects on the patient. People learn off of stimulus and response.
  • Mary Calkins - Being in such a male dominated field is difficult but I work to study memories. I even became the 1st woman president of the American Psychological Association.
  • Margaret Washburn - Our field of work is difficult, but I work in animal behavior, and helped behaviorists on animal research. I also became a President of the APA.
