  • Make sure you get all the bags ready for tomorrow!
  • I am not looking forward to this.
  • Yep, I'm excited for tomorrow.
  • This situation is much worse than I've ever seen.
  • Maybe this won't go as bad as I thought.
  • Hi, Im Dylan.
  • And I'm his dad Derek.
  • Nice to meet you. I'm Carie and I'll be helping you support PATH today!
  • I had to gather supplies and prepare bags because I was heading to PATH the next day. PATH is a non profit organization that helps the homeless, this may be by providing shelter for them, donating supplies, and helping with their health. I had to give back the community for a school project and I wasn't really sure about what to chose so I just decided to try and help the homeless.
  • Wow! This is a nice facility. They seem to be making an impact on this situation and me helping out might turn out to be a good thing.
  • The dark blue building is where the homeless can live if needed. The yellow is our offices and where people like me work. And the light blue is where all our donations arrive and are stored.
  • As we were arriving at the PATH facility we saw many homeless people. We had never really experienced an environment with this many people living on the streets. Everyone has seen a person living on the street but we had never encountered something like this.
  • Yeah of course, this has been a great experience!
  • Although I was dreading this, I've actually had a great experience here. And I feel very... fulfilled
  • Thank you so much for helping! You've helped change people's lives. I seriously mean that too.
  • My dad and I arrived at the PATH facility. We called Caries number to let her know we arrived, we had talked on the phone before and she told us that she was going to be our guide. Then, we carried our bags in and dropped them off in her office.
  • I thought that was a great experience. I'm sure you feel good after helping out like that.
  • I sure do dad!
  • After we were introduced to Carie, she took us on a tour around the PATH facility.
  • We went up to Caries office and I got to pack the supplies that I donated. They were packed into cardboard boxes and were sent to people currently living at PATH. The boxes went to three families and two individuals.
  • After we finished up at PATH we returned home. Something that I wasn't looking forward to ended up turning into something great. I got to help people that are less fortunate than I am, and that feeling was super rewarding. I ended up donating more supplies online and am looking to help out again!
