  • My parents and I have a mane hic and you Pantheras don't
  • 600,000 years ago...In a savana from Europe to Alaska lived a species of cat named Panthera Speleae.
  • Among those trees layed two Panthera Speleae who interbreed and gave birth to more Panthera Speleae. Soon, there was a population of this animal.
  • However, as time passed, and more offspring filled the population, there is a variation. The Panthera Spelaea began to inherit different traits from different parents. Predictably, there's one with a totally different trait. This very distinctive animal mates with other Panthera Speleae and soon there pops up even more of this "black swan". This special "black swan" had a full coverage mane which would keep it warm and attract more female lions.
  • The weather didn't stay beautiful for long. Soon, it was cooling to an ice age and a lot of animals died because of starvation and the cold. However, The Panthera Speleae with a thick mane had a higher chance of survival due to the protection of their mane. They tend to have an ability to live in colder climates much better than the original Panthera Speleae.
  • With a new separation of the kind, the division was imminent. It was no long after that the cave lion with a mane separated from the original cave lion. Some of the original animals died out and the mutated cave lion soon found a savana right across from their original homeland to settle there. Land was divided into two in order to classify them apart.
  • As the mutated species has been separated from the original species, they had reproductive isolation. They interbreed with their own species and produce viable offspring. Finally, speciation has occurred.
