- Let's vote

- During the Meeting of the Estates General one of the things they were trying to fix was their finacial crisis because of their deficit spending. The estates also had to vote in order by the estates so it would be first estate, second estate, and then third estate. Third estate was fed up with this which caused them to protest since they made up a majority of the population
- The March of Versailles
- The Thrid Estate was tired of being outvoted and having unfair votes at meetings, so they held a protest at an indoor tennis court and would not leave until they had a constitution. They got what they wanted and the higher estates pledged to create the Constitution 1791. While the Third Estate was protesting they called themselves the National Assembly because they were the majority of the population and wanted a voice.
- The Reign of Terror
- July 14, 1789 angry citizens stormed the Bastille in hopes of getting gun powder from a prison. All of this happened because a rumor got out stating that royal troops were going to occupy the capital. This event is what started the French Revoulution.
- The Rise of Napoleon
- That's my crown!
- I will take your crown now.
- A group of women marched to Versailles in order to get the king to promise not to ignore there suffering. The women were mad because they could not feed their children bread, so they marched from Paris to Versailles to hope that the king would listen to them. The women had previously demanded bread, but the king did not listen so they decided to make him listen.
- Give us BREAD!
- Stop ignoring our suffering!
- The Reign of Terror started when Girondins was overthrown and Robespierre stepped in. Robespierre got a little bit to comfortable and started executing people left and right for there beliefs. He sentence those people to be guilloined without trial. The Reign of Terror ends when Robespierre is sentenced to be guillotined then the French become a republic.
- Off with your head Robespierre!
- Today the leader of the Reign of Terror will be guillotined.
- During the Rise of Napoleon not many people were sure if they'd like him because he liked the idea of power, but people ended up liking him because he had great military success. Another reason people liked Napoleon is because he had so many great reforms which made France a better place for all. After Napoleon had some military success he crowned himself emperor.
