Storyboard Text

  • Oh you know, just growing here, never moving, wondering about the world around me. Actually I've got a question for you.
  • Hey Dahlia, what are you up too?
  • Yeah, what's up?
  • How do you make offspring?
  • And sexual reproduction requires two parents to create offspring. and need lots of energy.
  • That's a great question! Well I use sexual reproduction, and you use something even better, asexual reproduction, and it's better because you use less energy and only need one parent.
  • Wow, that's amazing! What else comes with sexual and asexual reproduction?
  • Wow, you really do learn something new everyday!
  • Well sexual reproduction involves two parents. The sperm from the male parent fertilizes from the egg which is the female parents. It has four daughter cells, and a cell division that is meiosis, and half of the parents chromosomes cells.
  • And asexual reproduction only needs one parent, which required much less energy. Mitosis is apart of of this reproduction. One of the best parts of asexual reproduction is that the offspring will have the same genes as the parent.
