  • The Inca were one of many small states occupying the urubamba valley, high in Andes mountains of present day Pera. The Inca empire streached 2,000 miles and they were also well orginized.
  • Ancient pueblo
  • The Inca were also gifted enginers and builders. The Inca used building skills to adapt to mountain surrounding. The Inca also constructed walls, buildings, and entire cities out of enormus blocks of stone.
  • Mound Bulders
  • Thirty distinct cultures lived in the Pacific Northwest. Because the Pacific Northwest recives ample rainfall, forests carpet the region. Two Northwest Coast tribes were Kwakital, and the Haida, lived south on the ingit. They also made totm poles.

  • The ancient pueblo farmed in various parts of the arid Southwest dessert. They were also very skilled artians who created baskets and pottery. Ancient Pueblo settlements was pueblo Bonilo, located in New Mexico, and abandoned Pueblo Bonito 1200s.
  • East of the Missisipi River, woodlandsand prairies covered the lands that stretch between the Great lakes and the Gulf of Mexico. Mound builders built huge mounds of earth. They served religious and cerimonal purposes. They mostly relied on mostly hunting and gathering , but they also tamed wild plants and farmed crops such as barly.
  • The Algonquin and Iroquios dominated the woodlands of the Northeast. The woodlands provided wood, plants, and animals, but they could not support enough farming to sustain large cities. tey developed a more formal political structure.
