- hi my name is grant schaefer today i and going to review transportation from the past to now
- early boats/rafts
- the first known transportation was the log boat and the raft dating around 10-7 thousand years ago. Why did they do that so they could get more loads done in less time.
- steam boat
- in 1783 a french inventor named claude de jouffroy built the first steamship in 1807 he completed a 150 mile trip to new york city and had a top speed of 5mph
- first steam locomotive
- \in 1881 a british inventor named Richard Trevithick unveiled the worlds first road locomotive called the puffin devil to see if it would work and took some people to a near by village. and it was succesful. but he wanted to make it better so he made improvements to it and years later he was able to make the puffin devil haul 10 tones of iron to a small village.
- Human 10-7 thousand years ago wanted to make something they could transport a lot more than going back and forth.
- how the first car was madecars
- American car manufacturer henry ford was famous for making the model t later he improved his conveyer belt and 1908 it was a success in 1913 henry.f became the world's biggest car manufacturer. By 1927 15 million cars were sold.
- in 1783 they improved the raft to now steam and could transport 1000's of times more than an averiage so it could bring stuff easier and safer than having someone kill them heavy load self on a

- later steam boat were not easy the could only go around and that was a big problem and they wanted to make it faster so the made a plan built something so it could go thru the opstical instead around it so the sized it down and put wheels on and put it on rails and there it was able to go on land and able to go thru and not around.

- after trains started making people paying more people wanted something to them self and something they could do them self that's when henry ford came in he started his own car company and manufactured car or built car so people could by and could spend less money on trains than cars. and could drive where ever they wanted.
- after the wrights watch some birds they thought what if we could build some like that then the when to work they in 1901 the made there first plane or glider as they were off the ground the plane started to warp and spun out of control and smashed 1902 made plane with machine gun and sold it to the army for 30 k and sence then the wright brothers have been the fathers fathers of the planes
