Go!Save my Wife!I don't care how long it takes
The king of Sparta heard that his wife, the beautiful Helen, had been kidnapped by a prince of Troy so he sent out an army of greek ships to go get her back.
The city of Troy was protected by a high wall built around the city. Some parts of the wall were 20 feet high!
This war went on for 10 years. The greeks did not know how to get Helen back
FOR SPATAAAAAA!!!!!!
Things looked pretty bad until Odysseus thought up a plan. Odysseus suggested that they build a huge, heavy, beautiful wooden horse, and leave it outside the gates of Troy. Then, the army would pretend to leave. But it was a trick. The horse would be hollow. Thirty men would be hiding inside. Finally they finished the horse.
That night the greeks all made it look as though they had fled but they left one thing behind, the horse. The citizens of Troy were so pleased of they're gift that they brought it into the town centre for all to see.
That night the Trojans had a huge party to celebrate, but while they all fell asleep, the greeks got out of the horse and lowered the gate. The whole greek army marched into the city of Troy and burned it to the ground. They silently left with the king of Sparta's wife.
