Trevi Fountain is the most beautiful fountain in Rome. Measuring some 20 meters in width by 26 meters in height, Trevi Fountain is also the largest fountain in the city. The origins of the fountain go back to the year 19 B.C., in which period the fountain formed the end of the Aqua Virgo aqueduct. The first fountain was built during the Renaissance, under the direction of Pope Nicholas V.
A fun fact is there is a myth about the Trevi fountain that if you throw 3 coins in the fountain, you will get to marry the person of your choice.

On April 25th, its Liberation Day, also known as the Anniversary of Italy's Liberation or Anniversary of the Resistance.The occasion is held in commemoration of the end of the Fascist regime and of the Nazi Germany occupation during world war two, as well as the victory of Italy's Resistance movement. The general public celebrates with fireworks, concerts, parades, and picnics. A ceremonial wreath is laid on the Unknown Soldier at the Altare della Patria by the President of the Italian Republic, which is accompanied by a military parade in the historical capital of the country, Rome.
