- San Marino is a small republic situated on the slopes of Mount Titano, on the Adriatic side of central Italy between the Emilia-Romagna and Marche regions and surrounded on all sides by the republic of Italy. The capital of San Marino is San Marino. The people living here love this place and like to stay outdoors with their friends and family. San Marino in general is a rich country. San Marino makes most of its income from the manufacture and export of ceramics, tiles, building material, furniture, clothing, fabrics, paints, and some quality brands of spirits and wines. San Marino is the oldest surviving sovereign state and constitutional republic in the world. The official date of its founding is September 3, 301.

- A fun fact is briefly in the past the fortress served as a prison, and as an important national landmark of San Marino it is depicted as well on the country’s flag.
- The Guaita fortress is the oldest of the three towers constructed on Monte Titano, and the most famous. It was built in the 11th century and served briefly as a prison. It is one of the three towers depicted on both the national flag and coat of arms. It was registered as one of the World Heritage Sites in 2008.

The people of San Marino are friendly and hospitable as there are more tourists than there are citizens on a yearly average. Fun fact, annually, this landlocked country receives 2 million tourists and its population numbers to only about 30,000. When it comes to sports, Sammarinese are big fans of sports like soccer, basketball and volleyball. Each of these sports has their own leagues but soccer is the sport that has the most following.
