The monster are due on maple street Theme : mankind is its worst enemy
One major theme of monster are due on maple street is mankind is it worst enemy. One example is when everyone surrounded Les Goodmans house and Charlie and Don Martin called Les an oddball. They did that because Les car started for no reason and everyone though that was suspicious since no one else had power PG 76/77. This shows that people will turn on each other in an instant without a reason or evidence. Another example is when charlie got suspicious of Steve just because Steve was talking to Les Goodman PG 81. This show when people are nervous and anxious they always want to point a finger at someone. Another reason is when charlie shot Pete Van Horn because charlie was scared and paranoid about the monster he shot at the mysterious figure without thinking PG 82/83. This shows that when people are nervous and scared they get ahead of themselves and are quick to act. In conclusion this evidence show that Mankind is its worst enemy
