- This currency is worth nothing to us.
- They are taking my land and personal possessions.
- We want to be treated equally as others.
- During the Revolution, every state taxed itself a lot to payf or the war. Not able to force the states to support the Continental Army, Congress responded by the printing and issuing more paper money nothing to bring the value to back it up.
- Get out of here before you fool's cause a scene.
- After the constitution was ratified,they didn't have a certain currency. Which meant that farmers had to sell their land and livestock in order to pay their debt forced by the government.
- They have a point. This calls for a convention
- Many farmers decided that they had enough and rallied together. They stormed courthouses so the judges wouldn't take what was theirs.
- We are stronger and better than ever. We are making America great aqgain!
- Militia troops were sent to put the protesters under control with the situation that was happening, in the courthouse with all the farmers.
- They reached this conclusion that the farmers were right so a convention was called. It was declared that farmers no longer had to pay more taxes than ordinary people.
- After many months of gathering, the constitution was written. With this new form of government they could finally become an independent country with a stable government.
