- Mollie accepts sugar cubes and ribbons from men on nearby farms.
- Snowball and Napoleon in constant disagreement.
- Snowball gets the idea to build a windmill so it would make work easier for them.
- Then Napoleon announces that from now on meetings will be held only for ceremonial purposes. He states that all important decisions will fall to the pigs alone.
- Napoleon gives a strange wimper and nine enormous dogs charge into the barn, attack snowball and chase him off the barn.
- Just as the animals are about to vote upon the windmill project..
- After the commotion, the animals are left feeling confused and disturbed
- Squealer explains to the animals that Napoleon that he is the cleveerist animal and he serves the best interest of all by making the decisions.
- they still question the expulsion of Snowball. Squealer explains that Snowball was a traitor and a criminal.
- Eventually the animals come to accept what they are being told and Boxer adds greatly to Napoleon’s words by adopting the maxims “I will work harder” and “Napoleon is always right.”
