Storyboard Text

  • "If ever you disturb our streets again, your lives shall pay the forfeit of the peace," (Shakespeare Act 1, Scene 1, Page 6).
  • Act 1, Scene 1
  • The Capulets and the Montagues, were caught by the King causing a ruckus in the area. These two families were known for not being in good terms, so the King warned them all that if they caused another disturbance again, they woud pay with their lives.
  • Romeo and Benvolio began discussing whether or not they should secretly attend the feast the Capulets were gonna hold. Romeo decided to take this opportunity to go and see his love, Rosaline.
  • Act 1, Scene 2
  • "I'll go along, no such sight to be shown, but to rejoice in splendor of mine own," (Shakespeare Act 1, Scene 2, Page 5).
  • Once Romeo and Bonvolio arrive at the feast, Romeo lays his eyes on a beautiful young girl known as Juliet. Though Romeo does not know anything about her, he falls in love at first sight. Romeo, still not knowing that Juliet a Capulet, admires her from afar.
  • "Oh she doth teach the torches to burn bright! It seems she hangs upon the cheeck of night like a rich jewel," (Shakespeare Act 1, Scene 5, Page 2).
