Storyboard Text
- The first time I saw my friends after lockdown, we met up at a local park.
- It was a small state park about a half hour from my house. I have many fond memories of taking my dog on that walk, treading the winding, overgrown paths of the park from the role of surveyor. Silently observing the little changes in landscape and wildlife of the all too familiar scenery. I've been walking these paths for as long as I can remember.
- The main, broken in, park area around the lake truly is tiny, but not many know about the expanse of thin, wild paths that run through the forests behind. This is where we're headed today.
- Except, this time, things are a little different. Loud, jubilant laughs and yelps break the usual, familiar silence of these paths that I've so sorely missed. My friends are here.
- I wasn't sure what to expect, but things were surprisingly... normal. No dramatics or waterworks. We'd never been the very comfortably intimate types, anyway. Just buoyant spirits and goofy antics, as always. I was silently grateful. This is what I needed. Things as they always were.
