- Slide: 1
- This scene is when Dallas found out Johnny died. Johnny was someone Dallas actually cared about and loved, but now he is gone. Dallas pretty much didn't say a word and just stormed out and drived away.
- According to the Outsiders "Johnny he's dead"(152).
- Action: Storms out and drove away
- Action: Dallas punched the wall
- Slide: 2
- According to the Outsiders "Oh Johnny, don't die, please don't die" (149).
- According to the Outsiders "Stay gold, Ponyboy. Stay gold"(148).
- This scene is when Johnny dies. Johnny dies from the church fire and saving the little kids. Johnny in the hospital says "stay gold, Ponyboy. Stay gold". Which means that Ponyboy is a good kid and wants him to keep acting like it.

- According to the Outsiders" I leaped out the window and heard timber crashing right behind me. I staggered, almost falling, coughing, and sobbing for breath. Then I heard Johnny screaming, and turned to go back for him" ( 93).
- According to the Outsiders " Get Out!!!"(93).
- This scene is when Johnny and Ponyboy get in a church fire and save little kids. Johnny is still in there when Ponyboy gets out, so Ponyboy goes back in to try and get Johnny.
