- yes yes. there's an earthquake we needed to run because when you would look north it just kept getting wider and wider.
- What's happening. it happened so fast the house started to rumble and I ran.
- there was an earthquakes and women were rushing from the rice fields in panic. it was unavoidable since everyone used charcoal burning stoves to cook. most of the house in Japan was not made out of brick or stone because it would crush anyone when the earth shook. the earthquake lasted almost 10 days but after those 10 days life was pretty much back to normal.

- I am a peasant. the shogun and daimyo needed to keep me (the peasants) happy but not to much power we are the lowest in the society. we had many responsibilities and if one of us failed in its duty all five could be punished.
