Storyboard Text

  • It might not look like it right now, but this area here is home to tons of biotic and abiotic creatures.
  • It's really nice outside, isn't it?
  • What's that? Oh, biotic means living and abiotic means non-living.
  • For example, this rock isn't a living creature, so it is abiotic.
  • Whereas that tree over there is living, so it is biotic.
  • Oh look, a rabbit. It's probably here to get some food. It eats grass, which is a plant, so it's a primary consumer.
  • Trees and all other plants make their own food too, so they are producers.
  • Secondary consumers eat primary consumers and tertiary consumers eat anything under them in the food chain.
  • Food chains are a visual representation that show the direction in which energy flows(what eats what).
  • The Sun is the main source of energy for the Earth. Sunlight helps plant make their food. This, with water, forms the process of photosynthesis, which is how plants make food.
  • A lot of secondary consumers are carnivores, which means they only eat meat.
  • Omnivores, as you can guess, eat both plants and meat.
  • Then there areherbivores, which eat only plants.
  • And then there are decomposers, which break down organisms when they die.
  • Ok, well I'm gonna go explore for some time then. Bye!
