  • DND: Getting Started Steps
  • Get 4-6 friends together who are creative, imaginative, and like to have fun.
  • Choose whether you want to play online, in-person, or a combination of both. Its also important to choose a time and frequency that you will be getting together to play.
  • When you get together, you will want to play about 3-4 hours of play time

  • Alright, lets play! I am going to be the DM of this game or dungeon master. A DM is someone in your group who has experience playing DND and will take ownership over leading the game for the players. They are the main storyteller of the game.
  • The first thing that I will have my adventurers do is make their character. I suggest new players use dndbeyond.com to create their characters, as it is very user-friendly for beginners.
  • A character sheet will look something like this when you are done.
