The Monsters are due on Maple Street theme : Don't be quick to blame others because it would lead to problems
One major theme of "Monster are due on maple street " by Red Sterling is that "Don't be quick to blame,because it'll leave too many problems." One example that supports this theme is after Charlie shot Pete Van Horn ,He said "Wait I know who it is .It's Tommy because he knew what was going to happen." . Next when the neighbors started to say that Steve had something unusual in his basement . And started to ask questions . But it was just a ham radio set his wife got him. Finally ,they all got mad and started to destroy each other yelling" It Steve,No it's Charlie,It's Mr.Goodman,Tommy is the monster!" And all of them most likely died . While it was Aliens fooling around with their neighborhood.In conclusion a good theme for this story is that " Don't be quick to blame others. because it would lead to problems." Because the way the neighbors kept blaming each other without proper reasoning . Because of that reason they all destroyed each other for no reason.
