- The People of Ember escaping and wondering upon a city named Sparks. Where already there is some conflict about food rations and living space. Lina moves in with the town doctor. Doon moves into The Pioneer (a hotel type place).
- Climax
- Torren a boy from Sparks gets jealous and mad. People from Ember moved in his town and are moving in with him. He throws tomatoes at a wall and blames it on the people of Ember. That causes even more conflict in town.
- Falling Action
- Conflict rises, the People of Ember are getting more and more mad and frustrated about either the living situation or the food. They are starting to rebel. More things happen around the town. People are losing trust in each other. People of Ember are getting blamed, for example, across the pavement in letters drawn with mud, it said THEY MUST GO!. The People of Sparks blamed the People of Ember.
- Resolution
- Tick has been planning a riot, he wants revenge for all the unfairness.Tick starts the riot with the People of Ember onto Sparks.One of the mayors tries to use 'The Weapon' on the People of Ember in the middle of town. 'The Weapon' blows up on him and starts a fire.
- The People of Sparks and the People of Ember come together and fight the fire. They save everyone. Afterwards the building that caught on fire was saved but it was burned a bit.They moved past this point together. People of Sparks by Jeanne DuPrau Project by Matthew Luviano
- Finally,the People of Sparks and the People of Ember find peace with each other and become friends. Doon and Lina show Torren what a lightbulb is. All differences are set aside. At last the two cites live together in harmony.
