- Wow! Tammy really put into perpsective the importance of music in her life and this really makes sense as to why she likes to listen to music while doing in-class work.
- This is amazing! Hailey has been cooking since she was 3 years old alongside her mom and now can prepare up to 7 dishes on her own?
- Wow! I never knew Desmond recently immigrated from Hong Kong, or that English was his second language.
- Wow! Reshman has been playing basement for 8 years of his life? This makes sense why he is such a bodily-kinesthetic learner; he really enjoys sports and movement.
- Wow! I never knew Viola had 4 siblings and that she was the older who takes care of them while mom is at work.
- To my future teacher candidates, do not be afraid to get to learn about your students! Some students will be more hesitant than others to talk with you, and that is okay! Find different ways for them to be able to express themselves and for you to learn about them. This is one great way that I have benefitted from my practicum to learn about my kids, and they enjoy the activity too! I usually do discussion prior to writing out the actual activity, and I find that even though some kids are quiet, and not as detailed in discussion, I prompt them so that they are able to write more detailed in their journals. You got this future TCs!
