  • Phase 2: Expantion Inland (1603)-(1670) New france was established. They traded with the first nations around the great lakes and st. Lawrance river.
  • Phase 3: Rival networks(1670)-(1760)Britan set up the HBC. Britan and france were both trading with the first nations people. Now the two were competing in the fur trade. Britan had the area around Hudsons bay. And france controlled the greatlakes/st lawrance regeon

  • Phase 4: The drive west(1760-(1821) the north west contry took over the french fur trad. Now two british were competing. They both moved south trying to be the first ones to get the unclaime fur trade trading territory.

  • Phase 5: Monopaly in the west (1760)-(1821)Britan got the HBC and the NWC to merge into one company called the Hudsons Bay Company. Which traded all across canada
