- 100 years ago,there was a man, called Sam. He was one of the most popular people in town. But, he was a negro. Hence, he can't go to school
- Lady Katherine asked Sam to help fix the old school house, she was teaching at. Sam, politely, accepted her request.
- As Sam kept repairing the old school house, lady Katherine fell in love with him. Despite this, ladyKatherine felt really sad of Sam leaving soon after his repairs.
- One fine yet rainy day, Miss Katherine went up to Sam and told him that her heart was broken. I can fix that! replied Sam, romantically.The kissed at once. While they were kissingOne towns person,Hattie Parker, sees them and points at them, whispering, God will punish you.
- The news had spread out like wild firethroughout the town. Everyone knew about Sam and Kate. There was a law against Negros kissings white womens. Hence, Sam shout be killed. Kate was scared, so she brought Same to a boat and they were leaving the town.
- Trout Walker came in from his speedboat and shot Sam down. Miss Katherine cried out loud, seeing Sam died.
