King Louis XVI becoming king

Ancien Regime

Financial troubles

King Louis XV passes away on May 10 1774, he ruled France for over 59 years, and when he died he left the throne to Louis XVI making him the new France ruler.

France was divided in three states or orders, it was the first state was the clergy, who were people including priests, who ran both the catholic church and some aspects, then there's the second state consisted of the nobility of France including members of the royal family excluding the king and they didn't pay any taxes, and for last there's the third state which was peasantsand farmers

This crisis was caused because of the inefficient and unfair tax system, that caused bread riots because people couldn't afford bread to eat.

when i die, ill leave the throne to my grandson Louis

No you can't leave yet!!

i kinda wish i was in the second state so i don't have to pay taxes and can live a good life

man it feels good being in the second state

i have to be at church at 15 minutes

attention everyone, we are raising the taxes since we dont got any money

you can't do that, we barely make any money

how are we going to pay for our bread and food

we can barely afford to eat, how are we going to survive!?
