1504, The Great Schism
My apostles, spread the message of our religion and follow God. Peter I place you in charge.
The groups of Christians then became churches and they started reading the bible. Peter became the first Bishop of Rome.
Once people started believing, people stated meeting, they called them Christians.
Then Rome was burned by the emperor and blamed it on the Christians. They were killed and considered as criminals. The apostles were all killed, except for John who died of old age.
He saw Christianity a good religion for everyone to follow to unite the empire. He made a law to allow Christians to follow their religion without persecution.
A General in the Roman Army called Constantine became Emperor who said he had recently converted to Christianity. He wanted everyone to work together but there was so many Roman Gods.
And then the Church splitted up. Because many people disagreed with certain things about Jesus.Everyone thought the Pope of Rome had too much power.
Then the Church Split into two.
The Eastern Orthodox Church
The Roman Catholic Church
Then the Popes and Bishops got greedy and was taking money from the poor and interpreting their own version of the bible.
Then everything was sorted out, there was peace and no one was greedy. Here we are today with our Church system.
