- It was good honey. my sales have been through the roof this month, which means I'll probably get the promotion instead of Steve.
- Hello Dear, How was work today?
- Also, there is a rumor going around that HR is looking for a new regional manager position. If I get that I will have more authority over my horrible boss. How was your day?
- Well, I was able to have a nice chat with the new employee down the hall. She is a wonderful lady and has two kids. We planned a girls night next week! What are your plans tonight?
- The boys and I are going to watch the game at 7pm at the bar down the street. What are your plans?
- Susan and I are going to take the girls out dress shopping for prom. We also are inviting their dates to dinner tonight, so we can meet them.
- Oh ,leave the poor boys alone. You are making it seem like we are helicopter parents.
- There is nothing wrong with being apart of our daughters life and knowing who is in it. I would prefer if you came to dinner tonight.
- Like I said I have plans tonight. I will meet this prom date some other time and give him a stern talking too. I should be going, don't want to be late.

- This short comic strip represents a man and woman having a conversation that falls under the traditional husband and wife relationship. Women are more likely to seek an emotional connection with their counterparts, which is why the wife in this scenario quickly asked how her husband's day was. She wanted to open up the conversation, so they could confide in each other if there were any stressors. However, men are more reclusive when it comes to their emotions and tend to focus on relative hierarchies of power dynamics, which is why the husband quickly mentioned getting better sales than his coworkers and the possibility of getting promoted to a higher job position. As I mentioned before, women focus primarily on relative closeness and emotional connections in their conversations. So, when the wife was asked how her day was, she expressed joy in getting to know her new coworker that she had been wanting to talk to. The wife also went on to talk about her co-worker's family life and how they plan on getting to know each other more by having a girl's night. Furthermore, men traditionally talk about topics, such as sports, technology, and money. This can be seen when the husband mentions he is going to watch the game with the boys later that day. “The boys” is slang that is often used by men when referring to their friends or close co-workers. On the other hand, women traditionally talk about topics, such as social events, fashion, and relationships. This can be seen when the wife says she is going dress shopping with their daughter for prom and wants to have the daughter’s date come over for dinner. The wife also mentioned how she wished her husband was more involved with their daughter’s life, especially when it came to relationships. However, as mentioned before, men are reclusive when it comes to emotional topics, so the husband pushed his wife’s statement aside and said he will do it another day.
