- ThesisOver the course of this year, as a student of Mr. Wachtor, I have been able grow and progress, my ability to analyze and connect ideas. At the start of the year my analyzing was mostly summary, so being able to create a claim and argue a point, was my greatest growth point. Even towards the end, I struggle with making my writing sophisticated, but that is something I feel like progressed with my last few writings.

- Background This is a story of improvement through perseverance and hard work. Each of the CRJ's are actual entries, or paraphrased entries. The story follows the protagonist Jalen, as he learns from the wisdom of his teacher, Mr. Wachtor and he applies the teachings in his writing and reading assignment's.

This means that he feels guilt for what he has done. He is guilty because he created a monster, whom proceeds to kill people.

- After learning what parallelism is, I now realize that Frankenstein and his monster were parelled, in order to reveal, they are both monsters.

- Shakespeare uses the repetition of parallel events in order to emphasize the dramatic irony of Benedick and Beatrices being the last to know they are in love.

- When making a claim, there should be an arguable point, that is supported by reason and evidence. This claim should be a nuance of the text.

- Leonato’ s short abrupt syntax, is emphasizing that he is angry at Claudio and Don Pedro.. By defending himself, with the quick retort “tush, tush man never fleer and jest at me” Leonato is expressing that he feels disrespected by Claudio. Having Leonato mention his old age, before he challenges Claudio, makes the scene more comedic, as an old man is challenging a soldier. With the shortness of sentences, he is able to be straightforward. He does this in order to get to his point faster because Claudio is a simpleton and emotions are more effectively used in writing when they are straightforward.

- The juxtaposition of conformity and eccentricity is comedically being presented, as the eccentricity is presented with cunning and witty characters, while the conformity is being represented through mundane characters.

- Harry Potter Goblet of Fire ThesisIn Harry Potter The Goblet of Fire , the resurrection of Voldemort is utilized to introduce Harry to the evils of the world. Voldemort is the physical representation of evil, making him the foil to Harry, who represents light and hope.
- Conclusion Throughout the year I struggled with many things, such as diction, word choice, organization, and making a claim. Near the end of the year I was able to improve on these areas of struggle, and in my last writing assignment, it was actually analysis and not just a summary.
