- Regulate Commerce
- It is important that they can collect taxes, so they can provide for the economy. This power also helps support people and gives money to help schools, and the less fortunate.
- Limit Immigration in the U.S.
- It is important that they can declare war because it helps keep us protected and keep other countries in check. Without them being able to declare war, people who were taking advantage of us would win.
- The power to draft people in the armed forces
- It is important for them to regulate commerce, so we can keep peace between countries. It also helps to have an understanding and help create business and trade between each other.
- Prohibit discrimination
- They have the right to limit that because then we are keeping our population with what we can hold. It also helps keep out unwanted diseases, keeps our military intact, and more.
- This is needed because if we don't have a big enough armed forces to protect us, someone could try to attack us and take over. Keeping numbers up means we have more power behind us protecting the country.
- This is needed because without it, it could create an unbalance in the states. If this were to happen you would see riots and civil wars, this would then slow start destroying our economy.
