yes, I've been doing ever since I was a child. I did it for so long now that its just a habit now I cant really control it.
I see, well I've seen some articles online about it and apparently it derives from your anxiety and stress you had has a child or when you were younger.
well then maybe you just bite them to fiddle with something to stay distracted from stuff that stress you out
That kind of makes sense.
ya but I don't think I was that stressed when I was a kid. Now that I look back at it I cant really remember why are even when I started to bite my nails.
I guess that kind of makes sense. But I've been wondering why people bite there nails in the first place. I do them subconscious without even realizing.
I see, well I've heard of a phycologist that mentions some causes of biting your nails. His name is Sigmund Freud. In his theories of psychosexual Development nail biting would be a form of oral fixation.
The oral stage is what he talks about and it happens at birth to 18 months old so your habit could have started even from then
There is, if your reason to do it is to relieve stress then you can find something to manage it without biting your nails.
Wow, that's a long time. I mean is there even anything I can do about it?
Wow, that's really help[full thanks. I'll try those tips out to see if they work.
