- Addy I have always been the perfect girlfriend, the perfect daughter, the perfect student. But now, with Simon's death, everything seems to fall apart.
- I am Bronwyn, the studious girl who always follows the rules. Detention was the last place I expected to find myself, especially for something I didn't do. But when Simon died, everything changed.
- I am Cooper. I have spent my entire life trying to live up to my father's expectations, to be the perfect son and the perfect athlete. But hiding who I really am has been eating me up inside and now, with Simon's death, I'm terrified my secret will be exposed.
