hi everyone! today we are gonna talk about the cell cycle and what happens in each and every cell!
The first is Interphase, this part of the cell cycle is the longest part. this is what happens during this stage, the cell is growing, the number of organelle increases and the DNA in the nucleus is copied. During Interphase DNA is in a form of a chromatin it also looks like a thread!
the second part is Prophase, during this phase chromosomes will start to coil and will become more visible, pairs of centrioles will separate to the opposite sides of the cell. the nuclear membrane will disappear. the spindle fibers will start to form between the centriole pairs. The chromosomes will move evenly throughtout the nucleus.
third is metaphase, this is when the centriole pairs move to the opposite sides of the cell, the spindle fibers are still attached to the centriole pairs. The chromsomes line up alone the midline of the cell and are attached to the spindle fibers!
fourth is anaphase, in anaphase this is what happens. each pair of chromosomes is separated into 2 identical chromosome , these chromosomes spilt and move to opposite sides of the cell.
And the final stage is telophase. during the final stage of mitosis the spindle fibers disappears and the nucleus reforms around each and every set of chromosomes. also during this stage the cell divides into two cells!
