Storyboard Text

  • Women one accused Mr.Goodman of being the alien
  • One major theme of The Monsters Are Due On Maple Street by Rod Serling is that suspicion and fear are Destructive. For example, Women one was suspicous of Mr.goodman because she would see him wake up at night and look at the sky. That made her think he was looking for something or someone but he just had insomnia which prevents him from sleeping well at night. Charlie had also killed Van Horn. He killed him because in the dark shadows he saw a figure and he thought it was the monster or an alien. He feared it was the monster but it was Van Horn without thinking he shot and killed him. Towards the end all the residents broke out in chaos. They broke out in chaos because they were all scared of each other trying to find a scape goat to blame. In conclusion the residents tore their city apart because fear and suspicion took over leaving them nor knowing what to do but cause chaos and trying to find a scapegoat.
