  • O darn, these crickets are so annoying, I just want silence...
  • I don't think you can eat a cricket, are they really edible?
  • Don't worry pall, you can just eat em
  •
  • well certainly when you wash well and cook properly, it becomes a great snack. 2 billion people in the world eat insects, but not all insects are edible. There are 900,000 species of insects worldwide and only 2,111 are edible.
  • And which ones can I eat?
  • well, the most common insects you can eat are: Grasshoppers, Crickets, Ants, Termites, Grubs, Wood Lice, Earthworms, Stinkbugs, Scorpions, Earwigs, Aphids, Maggots, and Dragonflies, and only if you live on a place really really cold, you can find insects everyday, everywhere.
  • Well, I prefer to eat normal food, like meat.
  • Look, I don't want to be that annoying vegan that says that every time you eat meat you are murdering bla bla bla, but some animals are really living on poor conditions in these industrial farms and changing meat to insects might increase your living conditions!
  • Before, you had my interest, now, you have my attention, continue.
  • Well, eating 100 grams of ground beef, gives you lots of protein, but costs a lot of money, might make a cow suffer, and also gives you lots and lots of fat. But in the other hand, cricket gives almost the same amount of protein, are really cheap, (if not free) and gives you little of the fat, and if you don't want that much protein, cricket also gives lots of fiber and vitamins which can make you even healthier and most people say that it tastes better than those vegan meat.
  • well that must really help those who are hungry!
