A princess gave birth to twins Remus and Romulus with Mars their father, but her uncle the king was afarid that they were going to take his throne so he had his people take the twins to the river and drown them. A wolf saved them and raised them and as they grew older they built a town, but they fought about who would rule it and so Romulus killed his brother and named it Rome.
The Greek influence of architecture on the Romans
The Romans learned how to build arches. They also learned about cuniculus and adapted to it and used them to irragate water. In time the Romans became better engineers than the Etruscans.
The Greek influence of Writing, Art, and Religion on the Romans
The Romans learned about the slave fighting gladiators where they put the strongest slaves in a stadium to fight other slaves or a living animal for people to watch. They also had chariot races where they would race arounf in ovals and slam into eachother and sometimes they could get thrown off their chariots and be dragged.
The Romans adapted to doing the Greek columns and used the Greeks designs to build their buildings. They even figured out a way to make their buildings larger and stronger by making concreta.
The Romans wrote in all caps and wrote on walls or columns for the people to see. The Romans adopted the idea of painting sculpting from the Greeks. The Romans also adapted to the Greek gods but gave them Roman names.
