  • After the industrial revolution many people were working in factories.
  • Before the industrial revolution, most thing were made by the family, so that means that their homes had furniture and things inside them that they made themselves.
  • This means that there is not a lot of business opportunity, so every family has to make their own stuff.
  • This means that people can no longer survive off of their own resources, which means that economy has started taking place, distinguishing the rich from the poor, middle class, working class, and everything in between.
  • This means that there was not any modern building materials, to make more houses with more durable materials, to fit more people.
  • After the industrial revolution, there were stronger building materials which meant that building could have 2 or more stories, so that it would take up less ground space, and have more support.
  • Before the industrial revolution, most food was either home made, home grown, or bought from a neighbor. Food would also have to be stored for short amounts of time, since there were no refrigerators or processed foods that do not go off.
  • After the industrial revolution, food became much easier to store, since there are refrigerators and processed foods, foods also have become a lot more processed, and we hardly make or grow them ourselves, unless we are cooking a mean, but even then half of the ingredients are pre-made.
