  • In my book I wrote long ago, I wrote how democracy is determined by civil society, my idea of civil society was that of group of people working towards nonpolitical goals and groups of people working for a common goal! This is how democracy should work!
  • Now that you understand the basics of personhood, we can now learn more about democracy from Alex De Tocqueville himself!

  • Thank you Mr. Tocqueville! Now I know that democracy was first built on equality and that all of us need to get back to civil society in order to have justice!

  • Personhood, " can be defined as an entitywhich is recognized by law as the subject ofrights and duties."
  • Some examples of this concept being used was during the 18th and 19th centuries to fight slavery
  • "Corporations gained personhood (notcitizenship) under the Equal ProtectionClause of the Fourteenth Amendment other rights (political religious) expandedover time."
  • So this is how the 14th amendment came to be and the stepping stone for why everyone in the US is a citizen!!!!
