- Like this, African American children were treated differently than the white children. Mainly because of the colour of their skin.
- I wish that we were treated the same as the white schools.
- Oliver Brown, Linda Brown’s father, asked the principal of the white school if Linda can come here instead of a black school farther away. But the principal said that he wouldn’t take a black child.
- Sorry but we do not take children into our school with differnet skin colour you will need to leave immmediately!
- Fine! I will take my daughter elsewhere to a school where it isn't run by a 60-year-old white male!
- Oliver and Linda went to Thurgood Marshall for the case that Linda couldn’t go to a white school because she was black. Thurgood Marshall agreed to help.
