- American duties and responsibilities are what mold the successful foundation of America. If we didn't have such boundaries and regulations our country would be disorderly and chaotic.
- The difference between duties and responsibilities may seem small but there is a lot of contrast. A duty is something an American citizen has to do. They are required to do these things. Most of the time these duties lead to a good outcome. Responsibilities are not required by citizens. These things are a choice that people can make but they always are for the better.
- The duties for American citizens are to follow the laws whether they are state laws, federal laws and or local laws. There are more duties such as respecting others rights and pay taxes. I have not stated all of the duties but a citizen can get the idea that duties are important to keep America and the citizens of America under control and in check.
- Responsibilities for the American citizens are to stay informed on the matters of our country, keep your property, as well as messes you have made, clean. Like duties, there are many more responsibilities but these are the major ones. By doing these responsibilities American citizens are not just following their duties but going above and beyond by making America an even better place to live.
- It is important that we respect and follow the responsibilities and duties placed upon the citizens. Take people in the medical field for instance. It is their duty to do everything that they can to keep people safe and healthy. By doing this they must be sure to wash their hands, keep their supplies clean, etc. If medical responders didn't follow these responsibilities then America would fall into a bad time of health issues.
- To be an American citizen you must respect the duties all citizens have to respect. You also have to do more than just your duties but go above standard and have responsibility. Theodore Roosevelt once said "The first requisite of a good citizen in this republic of ours is that he shall be able and willing to pull his own weight". By saying this he shows that a good American citizen is able to work and do what is expected to influence a better country.
