- The revolt of Winter palace
- The rule under the Romanov empire was uncertain, all the emperors had different ideas after a revolutionary emperor came a repressive emperor.
- Establishment of the Duma
- Japan and Russia signed a treaty regarding Manchuria and Korea, Russia broke it and Japan responded with war, Russia's army was not armed properly and underdeveloped while Japan modernized its army and easily defeated Russia. This was humiliating for Russia and its people.
- WW1 and The March Revolution
- Russian people wanted democracy and they brought a petition signed by over 100,000 people and conducted a peaceful protest, however the general responded by open fire which killed 1 around 1,000 people. This infuriated the people.
- Russia turns Red
- After the Winter palace incident and multiple further protest the Tsar regretfully established the Duma. He believed that the Romanovs were the only ones capable too rule Russia and he dissolved the Duma after few weeks.
- Nicholas II made a vital decision to send Russia in WWI which didn't end well, german army was too strong and Russia was humiliated again this sparked the March revolution where over 200,000 people revolted. The Tsar was forced to step down and Duma took control.
- The Duma made a decision that turned out to be decisive they stayed in WWI and that is when a group or the soviets took over and then ultimately a soviet headed by Vladimir Lenin and they turned Russia into the union of soviet socialist republic or the USSR.
