- This scene shows the rising action of Jeffrey on the stool which he is not allowed be on unless he is supervised. This event leads up to Jeffy falling off the stool because Steven is not paying attention to him.
- Moatmeal
- This scene is the rising action to Jeffrey finding out he has leukemia. Once he falls off the stool and his nose continuously bleeds his mom takes him to the hospital where they find out that he is sick.

- This scene is the part in the book that starts the conflict. This shows when Steven finds out that his brother is sick and that he isn't getting any better because of how long it took for them to figure it out.
- Honey, your brother is sick. He has leukemia
- This scene also shows a conflict because it shows when Steven finds out that his friend Samantha died. This shows conflict because Steven felt connected to this girl because a few weeks early they were bonding over things that kids did at their age.
- No, she can't be dead.
- This scene shows Steven being the bigger man and instead of staying at the concert he decides to go to the hospital with his brother. He did this because he remembers Sam saying always stay with him
- Sorry Mr.Watras but I need to go with Jeffrey.
- This is the final scene in the book. It is graduation where Steven, Annette and Renee are all graduating. This is an exciting part in the book because we find out the Jeffrey is getting better and will soon be leukemia free.
