- Hansel and Gretel lived in a small hut in the woods with their father and stepmother. When their birth mother passed away, their father tried his hardest to provide for them.
- Introduction
- Conflict
- The problem is that their stepmother takes almost all of the food and makes the children do all of the work.
- Hm?
- Papa, please. We are hungry.
- Rising Action
- Hansel and Gretel were not allowed to sleep in the hut after asking their father for help. They leave home and run away but there is no food. Until they see a glimpse of light in the distance. A witch lives there and gives them food and a place to sleep.
- Let's go!
- Hansel, look! Maybe whoever lives there will take us in and will give us food!
- Climax
- When Hansel wakes up, he finds himself in a cage. Then, the witch tells him she will eat him for dinner and she makes Gretel work for. However, Gretel has a plan. She gives her brother a bone and he replaces his finger with the bone when the witch checks how fat he is. But the witch still wants to eat him and then asks Gretel to heat the oven for her. Gretel then asks the witch to check the heat of the oven to fulfil her plan.
- Can you please go into the oven to check the heat? I want to make sure it is hot enough for you.
- Falling Action
- Gretel pushed the witch into the oven and burned her. Then, she stole the witch's jewels before freeing Hansel. They ran back home.
- Hansel, we must get out of here.
- Resolution
- When the children returned home, their father was very happy to see them. They used the witch's jewels for money and lived happily ever after.
