- this is an example of verbal irony because the narrator says "i love this old man". after that the narrator went on and killed the the old man just for his eye. What would normally happen is the narrator would not even try to harm the old man over his eye
- this is an example of dramatic irony. It is an example of dramatic irony because we know that the narrator is going to the the old man but the old man does not know that so he is sleeping.What would normally happen is the narrator would be in there to check up on the old man not to kill him
- This is an example of situational irony. It is an example of situational irony because we wouldn't expect the narrator to be so happy and nice after killing the old man. What would normally happen is the narrator would be acting suspicious and be all sweaty and there would be blood but no he was calm until the end.
