- Then, when I was 17 years old, we moved to a bigger tent. Also, Native conditions were better : we could wear what we wanted but we still had to learn Europeans language. At first, my family didn't want to learn another language but we had to. At this time, I didn't realized that I started little by little to forget my own culture.
- Our days were similars : go to Europeans school, learn about their culture, their language, their history. Before their arriving, we had been living a peacful life, in harmony with nature. But the Europeans, killed buffaloes, colonized our lands and destroyed our tribes. I wanted to fight to save our Nation but I couldn't because I'm a girl.
- This was the school of my brothers and me.
- Finally, I moved to Sullas Reservation and we met us there. Our life wasn't always easy but we fought a lot to preserve our Nation. Now, we live a calm life with all our family and it's the most important ! We, Native Americans continue today to keep our story, our past, our values, our culture !
