  • ExpositionLionel Messi was born on June 24, 1987 in Rosario, Argentina. At a young age, Leo was already a very talented player.

  • Rising Action/ClimaxAt age 11, Leo's parents noticed that he was much smaller than the rest of his teammates. They took Leo to the doctor, and found that he had a growth deficiency. The doctor prescribed growth hormones.
  • Falling ActionLeo's medicine was very expensive. Leo's parents nor his club could afford it. Fortunately, Barcelona have been scouting Leo and would be able to pay for his medicine. So, Leo signed a contract with Barcelona.
  • Falling ActionLeo began playing for the U14 Barcelona squad in 2000. Then in 2004, at the age of 17, he was called up to Barcelona's senior team. Which, made him the youngest player in La Liga. He amazed everyone and helped Barcelona win the 2005-6 Champions League.
  • Falling ActionLeo went on to break records. He scored 91 goals in a single calendar year. Then in 2012, he won his 4th Ballon d'Or. But, Argentina lost against Germany 1-0 in the World Cup Final of 2014. But, he won the player of the World Cup. In 2015, Barça won the Champions League.
  • Resolution Leo still continues his career, and he's still winning major trophies. Though he isn't winning as much as before, he's still playing one of his best football. And, he's still recognized as one of the best players in the history of the sport.
