Storyboard Text
- Johnny decides he wants to turn himself in, Dally and Ponyboy think that it's a bad idea. Dally also tells Pony and Johnny that Cherry is a spy for the greasers.
- Dally, Pony, and Johnny leave Dairy Queen and see the church on fire on Jay Mountain.Johnny and Pony leap out of the car and Dally tries to follow them. They both run up to the crowd of people near the burning church.
- Come back here!
- Pony and Johnny are rising their lives to save those children. They think they started it by leaving a cigarette that was still on.
- This is a snazzy sentence because it has a feeling first then describes what's actually happening. For example the feeling is gagged and the what's happening, is Johnny almost drops his hot- fudge.
- Dally, Johnny, and Ponyboy don't find the kids in one room but the kids are screaming so they are getting close. There are still. pieces of fire falling, it is still very dangerous.
- Where's the kids?
- In the text it states," But he never heard Dally's answer, for we had reached the top of Jay Mountain and Dally suddenly slammed on the brakes and stared. 'Oh, glory!' he whispered. The church was on fire!(Hinton 90)"
- The graphic I choose is when Johnny, Pony boy, and Dally help the kids in the church survive. Dally help the kids get out of the window.
- The figurative language that I choose was personification. In the text it stated," The women went white.(Hinton 91)'' This is personification because a women can't actually turn white. I think the author is trying to say that the women was shocked.
- Pony, Johnny, and Dally are being taken to the Hospital. Johnny is badly hurt and Dally is suffering from bad burns. Pony just has a few bruises on his back. He is also afraid that they are going to get arrested and taken into a jail, for killing Bob.
- The onomatopoeia that I choose was naw. I think naw is onomatopoeia because it's a sound p eople make when they understand something.
- In text states," He looked over his shoulder and saw that the door was blocked by flames, then punished open the window and tossed out the nearest kid''(Hinton 92).
- The vocab word that I choose was towheaded. Towheaded means a light hair color or white/blonde hair color. It's just like pony boy's hair.
