- "Look around!"
- He looks at Daisy while she seems saddened, while adjusting to the new people. Tom eyes roams around negatively at the crowed. Nick observes the tension all around
- "These things excite me so..."
- "I don't know a soul here.".
- "Do you mind if I eat with some people over here?"
- Tom is flirting with another girl and Daisy hands him a paper and tells him go ahead to get her number. She might not be able to stop him, but she lets it be known ,she knows what he is doing.

- "Go ahead... And if you want to take down any addresses here's my little gold pencil"
- As Nick sits on the front steps and while Tom. and Daisy waited for her car, he felt a shadow move against him and there was Tom complaining.
- "Not Gatsby"
- "Who is this Gatsby anyhow?... Some big bootlegger???"
- "She didn't like it ... She didn't have a good time..I feel far away from her. It is very hard to make her understand."
- Daisy leaves the party and Nick stayed late that night to talk to Gatsby.Gatsby is very upset because Daisy simply did not like the party. He wanted her to stand up to Tom and say that she has never loved him. Gatsby had it all planned out and He wanted her to stand up for herself.

- "Goodnight Nick !"
- Nick tells Gatsby he can’t repeat the past and Gatsby says in disbelief that the past can be repeated. He is determined that would do everything to get
- "I wouldn't ask too much of her... You cant repeat the past"
- "Of course you can repeat the past"
- "Im going to fix everything just the way it was before!!"
- Gatsby retells the story of when he meant Daisy to Nick.It was a autumn night where they turned to each other and fell in love
