Mummy G: Radha! Madhav? Have you two completed your homework?
Madhav G:Yes, maa. I just want to play all day and watch TV.
Months passed like this and no occasion made them happy. Whether it was guests visiting their homes, a festival or a birthday, they never enjoyed the moment. They always felt anxious about it. The habit of constantly grumbling created a dreary atmosphere throughout the entire house.
Papa Grumbler and Mummy Grumbler always cribbed about everything and this quality was inherited by their children as well. Radha Grumbler and MAdhav Grumbler would always crib about their homework.
Radha G:Maa! Why do we get homework every day? What is the use of learning so much at such an early age?
Mummy G:I don't want to listen anything. Both of you sit with me and do your homework.
Grandmother: Beta, why are you stressed? These are your basic needs and it’s your monthly expense. When you were young, your father managed everything happily with lesser resources.
Grandmother (thinking to herself): It is festival time and my children are dismayed about such petty things. It is the time of the year to celebrate.
It was Navratri and Grandmother Grateful visited their house. She saw that there was no excitement or flush of happiness around.
She saw her son puzzling through the bills.
You’re right, maa. I should be thankful that I have a sound job and that I can pay these bills. I can provide basic facilities for my family.
Grandmother: Household chores are never-ending, but dividing the work is helpful. Ask children to pack their bags and have Ashok assist them in getting ready. Feel grateful for your family.
The children spent a lot of time with their grandmother. They told her how they don’t like going to the school.
Grandmother: And you two, listen to me. You are both lucky that your parents work hard to provide you with all possible amenities. There are so many children in this world who do not even get a chance to get educated
Grandmother: Beta , Why don't you rest for somewhile?
Grandmother Gratitude then went to Mumma Grumbler who was cleaning the house and the children were playing.
Mummy G: Maa, I have no time to rest. I have to clean the house, prepare lunch, wash utensils etc.
